How To Make Best Sausage Stuffing Recipe

Stuffing is a great add-on to your main dishes. More than just something to fill the turkey with during Thanksgiving, stuffing is a wonderful side dish to complement your dish of choice. There’s no stopping you in enjoying this stuffing recipe!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces breakfast sausage
  • 4 cups bread cubes
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery, and cook until softened.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine bread cubes, cooked sausage, cooked onion and celery mixture, dried sage, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  5. Gradually pour chicken broth over bread mixture, tossing gently to combine until bread is moistened but not soggy.

  6. Transfer stuffing mixture to a greased 9×9 inch baking dish.

  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the top is golden brown.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
