How To Make Butternut Squash and Sage Dressing Recipe

This is a flavorful and hearty dressing made with roasted butternut squash and fresh sage.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed butternut squash
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cups cubed bread, toasted
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable or chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large bowl, toss butternut squash, onion, celery, garlic, olive oil, sage, salt, and black pepper together until the vegetables are evenly coated.

  3. Spread the veggie mixture on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the squash is tender and slightly caramelized.

  4. In a large bowl, mix the roasted vegetables, toasted bread cubes, and broth together until the bread is fully soaked.

  5. Transfer the stuffing mixture to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

  6. Allow the stuffing to cool for a few minutes before serving.
