Cooking: 25 minutes
Total: 40 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add the diced potatoes and minced garlic. Fill the pot with enough water to cover the potatoes by an inch.

  2. Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium and cook the potatoes until they are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. Drain the potatoes and garlic, then return them to the pot. Add the milk, butter, salt, and black pepper.

  4. Mash the potatoes and garlic using a potato masher until creamy and smooth. You can also use an electric mixer for a smoother texture.

  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

  6. Transfer the mashed potatoes to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.
