  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Boil the potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.

  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash them with a potato masher until smooth.

  4. Add the milk, butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.

  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.

  6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are heated through.

  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
