  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried sage

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until it turns golden brown.

  3. Slowly whisk in the chicken broth and milk, making sure there are no lumps.

  4. Add the salt, black pepper, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and dried sage.

  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gravy thickens.

  6. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
