  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.

  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened to desired consistency.

  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  4. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool before serving or storing in a jar.
