Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup hazelnuts
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

  2. Spread the almonds and hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool.

  3. In a dry pan over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and fennel seeds until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let them cool.

  4. In a food processor, combine all the roasted nuts, toasted seeds, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Pulse until coarsely ground.

  5. Transfer the dukkah to a jar or airtight container. It will stay fresh for up to 1 month.

  6. Serve the dukkah as a dip with bread and olive oil, sprinkle it on top of salads or roasted vegetables, or use it as a coating for meats and fish.
