How To Make Baked Tuscan Bread Croutons

Oven toasted cubes of Tuscan bread are used in this croutons recipe. They’re seasoned with olive oil and are a great addition to salads and soups.

Ingredients

  • 1loafTuscan bread,(round thick crust and sturdy)
  • 2tbspItalian extra virgin olive oil,or more if needed
  • 1tspkosher salt
  • ½tspfreshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Cut the bread into 1-inch cubes and place in a large bowl.

  3. Drizzle 2 tablespoons oil over the bread and toss to coat.

  4. Add more oil if needed and sprinkle with the salt and pepper.

  5. Toss again to coat.

  6. Spread out the croutons on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes until golden and slightly crisp.
