How To Make Garlic Croutons

Croutons are just what you need to put that oomf in your soup or salad. And if you want one now, you don’t have to run to the grocery. You can come up with your own crunchy bread squares with these very simple and easy to follow crouton recipes.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of day-old bread, cubed
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of dried herbs (such as thyme or oregano)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large bowl, toss the bread cubes with the minced garlic, olive oil, dried herbs, salt, and pepper until well coated.

  3. Spread the bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the croutons are golden and crispy, tossing halfway through.

  5. Allow the croutons to cool completely before serving.

  6. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
