This recipe is a low-carb, healthy alternative to traditional shrimp tacos, using lettuce wraps instead of tortillas.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 head iceberg or romaine lettuce, washed and dried
  • Optional toppings: chopped avocado, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeno

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Season shrimp with chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  4. Remove shrimp from heat and set aside.

  5. To assemble tacos, take a lettuce leaf and fill with cooked shrimp and desired toppings.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
