How To Make Sunflower Seed and Quinoa Pilaf Recipe

A flavorful and healthy pilaf recipe made with quinoa and sunflower seeds.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa, rinsed and drained
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft and fragrant.

  3. Add the quinoa and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Pour in the broth and bring to a boil.

  5. Reduce heat and add sunflower seeds.

  6. Cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes, or until quinoa is cooked.

  7. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.

  8. Fluff with fork and serve.
