How To Make Sunflower Seed and Banana Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sunflower seeds, baking powder, and salt.

  2. Mash bananas in a separate bowl, then add in egg, milk, honey, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture, stirring until just-combined.

  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and coat with non-stick spray.

  5. Use a 1/4 cup measure to pour batter onto skillet. Cook until the pancake edges start to dry and form bubbles in the center, then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  6. Repeat until all the batter is used up.
