Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked turkey, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

  3. Add diced onion and frozen mixed vegetables; sauté for 3 minutes.

  4. Sprinkle all-purpose flour over vegetables and stir to coat.

  5. Gradually stir in chicken broth and milk. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried thyme. Cook until thickened; stir in turkey.

  6. Pour mixture into a 9-inch pie dish.

  7. Roll out a refrigerated pie crust and place over mixture. Poke holes in the crust.

  8. Bake for 40 minutes until the crust is golden brown.

  9. Remove pot pie from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
