How To Make Easy Turkey Soup

We have turkey sandwiched between lovely bread, baked as pie filling, and cooked in a casserole. Whatever way it’s served, turkey meat is a versatile dish you just can’t get enough of.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of cooked turkey, shredded
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat some oil and sauté the onion, carrots, and celery until they are soft.

  2. Add the shredded turkey, chicken broth, bay leaf, thyme, salt, and pepper to the pot.

  3. Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.

  4. Remove the bay leaf before serving.

  5. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
