How To Make Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
A classic cake with caramelized pineapple and cherries topping.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 can of pineapple rings
- 4 maraschino cherries
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 egg
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a 9-inch round cake pan, melt butter and sprinkle brown sugar over it.

Arrange pineapple rings and cherries on top.

In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, beat granulated sugar, oil, and vanilla extract.

Add in egg and mix well.

Gradually add in milk and flour mixture, alternating between each.

Pour batter over pineapple topping.

Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool for 5 minutes before flipping it onto a serving plate.
