How To Make Smoked Sausage Jambalaya Recipe
A spicy, flavorful dish made with smoked sausage, veggies, and rice.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add smoked sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add onion, red bell pepper, celery, garlic, paprika, oregano, thyme, cayenne pepper, and bay leaf. Cook until the veggies are tender, about 7 minutes.

Add rice and chicken broth. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.

Simmer until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed, about 25-30 minutes.

Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.

Fluff with a fork and season with salt and pepper to taste.
