How To Make Ground Sausage and Potato Skillet Recipe

A hearty and flavorful dish that combines ground sausage and crispy potatoes in a skillet.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

  2. Add ground sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

  3. Remove sausage from skillet and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, add potatoes, onion, and green bell pepper. Season with smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.

  5. Cook until potatoes are crispy and tender, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes.

  6. Add garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.

  7. Return sausage to the skillet and stir to combine.

  8. Serve hot.
