How To Make Ground Sausage and Peppers Hoagie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 Hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add ground sausage, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned.

  3. Add sliced peppers and onion to the skillet and cook until they have softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Toast hoagie rolls and add a slice of provolone cheese to the bottom of each roll.

  6. Divide the sausage mixture evenly among the four hoagie rolls and serve hot.
