How To Make Ground Sausage and Rice Stuffed Peppers Recipe
Delicious and filling stuffed peppers loaded with ground sausage and rice.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 large bell peppers
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 can diced tomatoes, drained
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cut off the tops of the bell peppers and remove seeds and membranes.

In a skillet, cook ground sausage, onion, and garlic until meat is browned and onions are soft.

Add cooked rice, oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.

Stir in drained diced tomatoes and cook for another minute or two.

Stuff the mixture into the hollowed-out peppers.

Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and bake for 40-45 minutes.

Remove from the oven, sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the peppers and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
