Ingredients

  • 4 Italian sausages
  • 2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium heat.

  2. Grill or cook the sausages until they are nicely browned and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. In a separate skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  4. Add the sliced peppers and onions to the skillet and sauté until they are soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes.

  5. Season the peppers and onions with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  6. Slice the cooked sausages into bite-sized pieces and add them to the skillet with the peppers and onions.

  7. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors.

  8. Toast the hoagie rolls until they are warm and slightly crispy.

  9. Divide the sausage, pepper, and onion mixture evenly among the hoagie rolls.

  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
