How To Make Easy Patatas Bravas Recipe
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, cut into chunks
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 can (400g) chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
-
Place the potato chunks in a large pot of salted boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes, until slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
-
Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
-
Stir in the smoked paprika and chili powder.
-
Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-
Meanwhile, heat the remaining 2 tbsp of olive oil in a separate large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add the cooked potatoes and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 10-15 minutes.
-
Transfer the potatoes to a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.
-
Serve the fried potatoes with the spicy tomato sauce. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
