How To Make Patatas Bravas with Chorizo
A delicious Spanish tapas dish with crispy potatoes and spicy chorizo, perfect for sharing!
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs potatoes, cut into cubes
- 8 oz chorizo, sliced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- Salt, to taste
- Olive oil, for frying
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Place the potatoes in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes, then drain.

Heat enough olive oil in a large frying pan to cover the potatoes. Fry the potatoes until golden and crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.

In the same pan, fry the chorizo until crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.

In a separate pan, sauté the onion and garlic until softened. Add the smoked paprika and cayenne pepper and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt to taste.

Add the fried potatoes and chorizo to the tomato sauce, stirring gently to coat. Cook for an additional 5 minutes to heat through.

Transfer the mixture to an oven-proof dish and bake for 10 minutes.

Serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.
