  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cylinders, about 2 inches thick.

  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.

  3. Add the potatoes to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown.

  4. Season the potatoes with salt and black pepper.

  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let the potatoes cook for an additional 30 minutes, or until they are tender and cooked through.

  6. Flip the potatoes occasionally to ensure even cooking.

  7. Once the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the skillet and garnish with fresh thyme sprigs.

  8. Serve hot as a delicious side dish.
