Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh thyme sprigs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thick rounds.

  3. Heat the butter in an oven-proof skillet over medium heat.

  4. Add the potatoes to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  5. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.

  6. Place a thyme sprig on top of each potato round.

  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes until the potatoes are tender and golden.

  8. Serve the fondant potatoes hot.
