How To Make Fondant Covered Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cake mix (flavor of your choice)
  • 2 cups of fondant
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Cornstarch (for dusting)
  • Water (for thinning the fondant)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake mix as per instructions and bake it in a round cake pan.

  2. Let it cool completely and remove it from the pan.

  3. Roll out the fondant on a surface dusted with cornstarch to the size of your cake.

  4. Carefully lift it over the cake and smooth it down evenly.

  5. Trim the excess fondant from the edges.

  6. Add food coloring to the remaining fondant and roll it out for decorations.

  7. Use water to stick the decorations to the cake.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
