How To Make Baked Scalloped Potatoes Recipe

- 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.

Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish and sprinkle with half of the minced garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Sprinkle half of the grated cheddar cheese over the potatoes. Repeat with a second layer of potatoes, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper, and cheese.

In a small saucepan, heat the cream over medium heat until it simmers. Pour the hot cream evenly over the potatoes.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 30 minutes until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.

Let the baked scalloped potatoes cool for a few minutes before serving.
