How To Make Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups cooked ham, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.

Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth and thickened. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with half of the diced ham and half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheeses. Pour half of the milk mixture over the layers.

Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, ham, cheeses, and milk mixture.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Let the scalloped potatoes cool for a few minutes before serving.
