How To Make Baked Potatoes

Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chives
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Wash the potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry.

Pierce each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during baking.

Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle them with salt and pepper.

Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the skins are crispy.

Remove the baked potatoes from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
