How To Make Mexican-style Chilli Ribs

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs of pork ribs
  • 1 cup of Mexican-style chilli sauce
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of cumin
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).

  2. In a bowl, mix together the Mexican-style chilli sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  3. Place the pork ribs in a baking dish and pour the chilli sauce mixture over them. Make sure the ribs are coated evenly.

  4. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours.

  5. Remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Baste the ribs with the sauce from the bottom of the dish. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the ribs are tender and lightly charred.

  6. Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the ribs and garnish with cilantro.

  7. Serve the Mexican-style chilli ribs hot with extra sauce on the side.
