How To Make Slow Cooker Chilli Con Carne

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions

Heat a skillet over medium heat and brown the ground beef. Drain any excess fat.

Transfer the ground beef to the slow cooker.

Add the diced onion, minced garlic, diced bell pepper, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato paste, chilli powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper to the slow cooker.

Stir everything together until well combined.

Cover and cook on low heat for 6 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours.

Serve the chilli con carne hot, garnished with shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro.
