How To Make Orange & Tarragon Roast Turkey

Ingredients
- 1 (12-pound) turkey
- 2 oranges, zested and juiced
- 4 tablespoons of fresh tarragon, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper
- 4 tablespoons of butter, softened
- 1 cup of chicken broth
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, combine the orange zest, orange juice, tarragon, salt, and pepper.

Rub the turkey with the softened butter, making sure to get it under the skin as well.

Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of a roasting pan.

Place the turkey in the roasting pan, breast side up.

Brush the orange-tarragon mixture all over the turkey.

Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for about 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Baste the turkey with the pan drippings every 30 minutes.

Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
