Ingredients

  • 1 medium cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: sesame seeds, green onions

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.

  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.

  3. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is tender-crisp.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper.

  5. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the cabbage and toss to coat evenly.

  6. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the cabbage is well coated and slightly caramelized.

  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.

  8. Serve hot as a side dish or as a main course with rice or noodles.
