  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the red onion and garlic, and sauté until they become fragrant and slightly caramelized.

  2. Add the red cabbage to the skillet and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until it starts to wilt.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the ground cinnamon, ground cloves, red wine vinegar, and honey until well combined.

  4. Pour the mulled wine dressing over the stir-fried cabbage and toss to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the cabbage is tender but still retains its crunch.

  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
