How To Make Singapore Noodles with Prawns

Ingredients

  • 8 oz rice vermicelli noodles
  • 1 lb prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 3 scallions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp curry powder
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice vermicelli noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large wok or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and cook until fragrant.

  3. Add the prawns to the wok and cook until pink and cooked through. Remove from the wok and set aside.

  4. In the same wok, add the bell pepper, carrot, bean sprouts, and scallions. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender.

  5. Push the vegetables to one side of the wok and add the curry powder. Cook for a minute until fragrant.

  6. Add the cooked noodles to the wok, along with the soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry everything together until well combined and heated through.

  7. Return the cooked prawns to the wok and toss everything together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Serve the Singapore noodles with prawns hot and enjoy!
