  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.

  3. Add chicken slices and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, add sliced bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, and onions. Stir-fry until crisp-tender, about 3-4 minutes.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Pour the sauce into the skillet with the vegetables and stir to coat.

  6. Add the cooked lo mein noodles and cooked chicken back into the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.

  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
