How To Make Shrimp and Onion Stew
Loaded with warm and comforting flavors, this onion stew gets a sophisticated twist from the garlic and shrimps, for a rich and filling meal!

Ingredients
- ¼cupvegetable oil
- 4onions,chopped
- 4garlic cloves,minced
- 1lbmedium shrimp,peeled, deveined
- ¼tspground turmeric
- ½tspsalt
- 1tspground black pepper
- 3tsptomato paste
- ⅓cupwater
Instructions

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add the onions, then cook and stir until soft.

Stir in garlic, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the shrimps, then cook just until shrimp turn pink and begin to curl.

Mix in the turmeric, salt, and pepper. Mix in the tomato paste and water.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour. Add more water if necessary to prevent sticking.
