Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into chunks
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 whole cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until translucent.

Add the beef stew meat to the pot and brown on all sides.

Deglaze the pot with red wine vinegar and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom.

Add the beef broth, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, honey, cinnamon stick, cloves, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

Bring the stew to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer, covered, for about 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
