Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh sushi-grade tuna, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 8 small taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, mix together the soy sauce, lime juice, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create the spice rub.

  2. Place the tuna slices in the spice rub, coating both sides evenly. Let it cure in the fridge for 10 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, warm the taco shells according to package instructions.

  4. Remove the tuna from the fridge and slice it into thin strips.

  5. Fill each taco shell with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, and a few slices of spice-cured tuna.

  6. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
