How To Make Salmon & Spinach Tart

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 lb (450g) of salmon fillets
  • 2 cups of fresh spinach
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on the prepared baking sheet.

  3. In a skillet, heat some oil over medium heat and sauté the diced onion until softened.

  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

  5. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted. Remove from heat and set aside.

  6. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Place them on the puff pastry sheet, leaving a border around the edges.

  7. Spread the cooked spinach mixture over the salmon.

  8. In a small bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese and heavy cream. Pour the mixture over the spinach and salmon.

  9. Sprinkle the chopped dill on top.

  10. Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the filling, creating a rustic tart shape.

  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the salmon is cooked through.

  12. Serve hot and enjoy!
