  • 1 pound of fresh crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil, for frying
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, gently pick through the crab meat to remove any shells.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, parsley, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Add the crab meat to the breadcrumb mixture and gently fold until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to keep the crab meat in large chunks.

  4. Shape the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to firm up.

  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook the crabcakes for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your pan.

  6. Remove the crabcakes from the pan and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  7. Serve the crabcakes hot with lemon wedges on the side.
