How To Make Lobster Thermidor

Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails, cooked and meat removed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shallot and garlic, and sauté until softened.

  3. Stir in the white wine and let it cook for a minute to reduce slightly.

  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.

  6. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the lobster meat and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish. Sprinkle the bread crumbs evenly over the top.

  8. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

  9. Serve the lobster thermidor hot and garnish with additional parsley, if desired.
