How To Make Grilled Lobster Tails with Lemon & Herb Butter

Juicy lobster tails grilled to perfection, topped with a zesty lemon and herb butter sauce.

Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 10 minutes
Total: 25 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped thyme
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

  2. Use kitchen shears to cut through the top shell of the lobster tails, lengthwise. Carefully loosen the meat from the shell, keeping it attached at the base.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper.

  4. Brush the lobster tails with the butter mixture, making sure to coat the meat well.

  5. Place the lobster tails on the grill, shell side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes.

  6. Flip the lobster tails over and continue to cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through.

  7. Remove the lobster tails from the grill and brush with any remaining butter mixture.

  8. Serve the grilled lobster tails with lemon wedges and enjoy!
