How To Make Japanese Salmon & Avocado Rice

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 cups of cooked white rice
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or pan to medium-high heat.

  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.

  3. Grill or pan-sear the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced ginger, and minced garlic.

  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked white rice and the dressing mixture. Mix well to evenly coat the rice.

  6. Divide the rice into 4 serving bowls.

  7. Top each bowl of rice with a grilled salmon fillet and some sliced avocado.

  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish.

  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
