How To Make California Roll

Ingredients
- 1 cup sushi rice
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 sheets nori (seaweed)
- 1/2 cup cooked crab meat
- 1/2 avocado, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
Instructions

Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions.

In a small bowl, mix together the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir until the sugar and salt dissolve.

Spread a thin layer of sushi rice onto a sheet of nori, leaving about 1 inch of the nori uncovered.

Place a strip of crab meat, avocado, and cucumber in the center of the rice.

Roll the nori tightly, using a bamboo sushi mat if desired.

Repeat steps 3-5 with the remaining ingredients.

Use a sharp knife to slice each roll into bite-sized pieces.
