Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh ahi tuna, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sriracha or chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup diced Maui onion
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and sriracha.

  2. Add the ahi tuna cubes and gently toss to coat.

  3. Let the tuna marinate in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes.

  4. Remove the marinated tuna from the refrigerator and add the diced Maui onion, green onions, macadamia nuts, and sesame seeds.

  5. Gently mix everything together until well combined.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Serve the Hawaiian-style ahi poke chilled, garnished with extra green onions and macadamia nuts if desired.
