  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden.

  3. Add asparagus spears to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until asparagus is tender-crisp.

  5. Add lemon juice, if desired, and cook for an additional minute.

  6. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
