How To Make Buca Di Beppo Sausage and Peppers Recipe
A classic Italian dish featuring sweet and spicy Italian sausage and colorful bell peppers.

Ingredients
- 1 lb sweet Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, as needed
Instructions

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Remove sausage from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed and sauté peppers, onions, and garlic until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.

Add the sausage back to the skillet and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve hot with crusty bread or over pasta.
