Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage links
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. Add sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes per side.

  4. Remove sausage from pan and set aside.

  5. Add sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

  6. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  7. Add canned tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet.

  8. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let cook for 5-10 minutes.

  9. Add the cooked sausage back into the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.

  10. Transfer the entire mixture to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.

  11. Serve hot with crusty bread or over pasta.
