Toss a quick and easy lunch in this bacon pear gorgonzola salad recipe, made of lettuce, roasted pecans, and crisp pears, coated in a tangy dressing.

  • 8ozSpring Mix Lettuce
  • 2pears,sliced
  • ½cuppecans
  • ½cupdried cranberries
  • ½cupgorgonzola cheese,crumbled
  • 8slicesbacon

For Dressing:

  • ½cupextra virgin olive oil
  • cupbalsamic vinegar
  • 1tbspshallot,minced
  • 2tspdijon mustard
  • 2tspgranulated sugar
  • ½tspsalt
  • fresh ground pepper,to taste


  1. Toast pecans on a baking sheet for 5 minutes at 350 degrees F.

  2. Cook the bacon in a fry pan or bake on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until done. Drain on a paper towel lined plate, let cool completely, and dice.


  1. Combine all the dressing ingredients in a jar with a lid and shake well.

  2. In a bowl, place the lettuce, pecans, cranberries, cheese, and bacon. When ready to serve, add the pears and dressing and toss.

  3. Serve immediately.
