How To Make Roasted Garlic Chicken Pesto Pizza
Roasted garlic, lots of mozzarella cheese, and tender chicken amplify the flavors in this mouthwatering, soft, and chewy chicken pesto pizza.

Ingredients
- ½homemade pizza dough*
- 2tspolive oil
- 3clovesroasted garlic,finely chopped
- ⅓cupHomemade Basil Pesto,80ml or variations listed in that recipe or store-bought
- 1cupchicken breast,cooked and shredded about one 8-ozbreast
- 1½cupsmozzarella cheese,6oz or 168g shredded
- basil,fresh for topping, optional
Instructions

Prepare pizza dough (see recipe notes) including preheating the oven to 475 degrees F. Cover the shaped dough lightly with plastic wrap and allow it to rest as the oven preheats.

To prevent the pizza toppings from making the pizza crust soggy, brush the shaped dough lightly with olive oil. Using fingers, push dents into the surface of the dough to prevent bubbling.

Top the dough evenly with garlic, then spread the pesto on top. Add the chicken then sprinkle on the cheese.

Bake pizza for about 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil, if desired. Slice hot pizza and serve immediately. Cover leftover pizza tightly and store it in the refrigerator. Reheat as you prefer. Baked pizza slices can be frozen for up to 3 months.
